About: Built in the 1800's, as part of a farm, the Grooms Cottage lies in the heart of Ruby Country, with its forests and woodland walks, but is just 20 minutes from the North Cornish Coast - ideal for surfing, swimming or just lazing around on sandy beaches. The cottage is fully equipped and has an enclosed patio providing a safe area for young children and pets, a play area with swing, climbing frame and 13' trampoline - and an acre of mown grass for just messing around.Full central heating brings added comfort for really cosy spring and autumn breaks. This property offers 2 double bedrooms and 1 single bedroom with a shared family bathroom. The single bedroom can take an additional small single bed or a cot. On the ground floor is a comfortable lounge / dining room and a comprehensively equipped galley kitchen. A high chair, cot and baby gate are available. We can arrange to receive grocery deliveries ordered from Waitrose's online system, and can arrange, reccomend, or book facilities like surfing lessons or fishing for you to enjoy during your stay Pets are welcome, and we have a totally enclosed large rear garden where they can run with our collie - who just loves having visitors. There is also an acre of mown grass in front of the property for just messing around. Loads of attractions for children within 20 mins drive - steam railways, castles, theme parks, play centres and ten bowling. For something different try archery - or jousting!. Mention of mountain boarding seems tame by comparison, but that is available too. Information and advice on all attractions and activities is available in the cottage, or just by asking us for our favourites. There is a range of local restaurants to eat in - fine dining, gourmet pubs, good honest cafes and coffee shops, takeaways and everything in between. For true self catering, there are local meats and cheeses from Holsworthy Market, fresh fish straight from the boats in Bude, and a herb garden outside the cottage to raid for those finishing touches.
